This program is designed to enhance the effectiveness of study club coordinators and directors by developing a clear communication stream and understanding of roles. You will work in small, interactive groups to identify  common communication barriers, manage difficult conversations, and develop communication improvement plans. By the end of the program, you will have tools and strategies to cultivate the strong, collaborative coordinator-director relationship that is essential for the success of your study club.

Upon completion of this session attendees should be able to:

  • Understand the roles of coordinators and directors within a study club and recognize the importance of their contributions to the club's success.

  • Identify common communication barriers and miscommunications that may arise between coordinators and directors in study club management.

  • Create plans for improving communication between coordinators and directors, including detailed steps, responsibilities, and timelines for implementation.

This new, vision board workshop leverages creativity and collaboration to map out your study club aspirations and goals for the upcoming academic year. After some reflection time, a goal-setting workshop will help you identify specific goals and their actionable steps. Next, you will create your own vision board using visual inspirations and aids, with the goal of sharing it with your study club director. This workshop will give you a clear understanding of your goals and a roadmap to achieve them.

Upon completion of this session, attendees should be able to:

  • Articulate specific study club aspirations and goals for the upcoming academic year through the creation of a personalized vision board.

  • Implement skills in goal setting and action planning, by identifying specific study club objectives and breaking them down into actionable steps.
